Like most large cities, you will find some sketchy areas, so just use common sense when walking around downtown.
We felt quite safe walking around town in the evening with the kids to go out for dinner, or for skating in Public Square.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a museum that documents the history of Rock and Roll.
The music, artists, producers, engineers and inductees all play a part in the formation of the exhibits. The museum is huge, and you could easily spend the day here.

3. Have a Blast Learning About Science at the Great Lakes Science Center
With a new exhibit yearly and an entire floor dedicated to hands-on discovery, the Great Lakes Science Center is a must-see for kids of all ages.
With 3 levels to explore, plus a dome theatre and science lab for demonstrations, you could easily spend the entire day here.
4. See the Sharks at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium
Located in the historic First Energy Powerhouse, this family-friendly Aquarium is just a short drive from Cleveland’s other popular attractions.
While on the small side, the Greater Cleveland Aquarium is a good way to spend 2-3 hours with the kids.
Be sure to check out the Sea Tube, an acrylic tunnel that allows you to walk through the Shark Tank, giving you an up-close and personal look at all the sharks.

Cleveland’s West Side Market is not really an attraction, per se, but it is definitely worth a visit!
The historical market is home to over 100 vendors, selling everything from fruits and veggies to meat and fish, cheeses, baked goods, candy and flowers.

6. Solve a Mystery at The Cleveland Police Museum
The Cleveland Police Museum covers the entire history of the Cleveland Police Department, from its beginnings in the mid-1800s to the modern day.
And although it is not very big, they have some interesting photos and paraphernalia on display.
And if you are a true crime story buff, you can read all about the gruesome Torso Murders, or learn more about Eliot Ness.

The Cleveland script signs are a series of 6 iconic signs that can be found throughout the city.
The signs feature the city’s name in a cursive, script font, and are made of steel or aluminum.

8. Find the World’s Largest Rubber Stamp
Located within walking distance from the square, in Willard Park, you will find the world’s largest rubber stamp.
At 49 feet high, the stamp, which reads “Free” across its bottom in big red letters, paying homage to the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument of Cleveland located opposite the Sohio building where the stamp was once housed.

During our visits, we left our car parked at the hotel and ventured around the downtown area on foot.
